When does the Lancaster Covered Bridge Classic Registration begin?

What time does the Lancaster Covered Bridge Classic Start?
The Lancaster Covered Bridge Classic has a rolling start from 7 am – 9 am. Riders completing the 100-mile route must start at 7 am. All other riders must start before 9 am and end by 3:30 pm.
Where does the Lancaster Covered Bridge ClassicStart?
The Lancaster Covered Bridge Classic starts at HACC’s Lancaster campus, located at 1641 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602. There is free onsite parking.
What are the registration fees?
Online registrations before April 1 – $40.
April 1 – June 30 – $50
After July 1 – $60
What are the route distances? Can I change my route choice on the day of the ride?
The route distances are 100 Miles, 65 miles, 33 miles, 16 miles. Yes, you can ride any route you choose.
What is your refund policy?
Entries are Non-Refundable. However they are transferable. If you would like to transfer you entry to someone else please contact us.
What happens if it rains?
This is a “rain or shine” event. In case of severe weather we may have to cancel the event.
How old must I be to participate?
Anyone under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Can I register the day of the event?
No, there are no day of registrations.
Do I need to be a “hard core” cyclist to undertake this ride?
No, but you should be prepared by doing some training rides. There are some climbs throughout most of the routes. We do recommend only experienced cyclists attempt the 100 mile ride.
Are the roads marked?
The roads are marked when turns are being made. There are 2 symbols on the road prior to the turn and 1 symbol after the turn to confirm that the rider is still on route. Occasionally, you may encounter a straight thru arrow to emphasize or confirm the direction of travel.
Cue sheets should be used by riders. They provide all the information that you need to stay on the route. They also list a phone number that may be used to obtain assistance from a SAG vehicle driver.
What is available at the Rest Stops?
Snacks and drinks will be available at the rest stops. There is also a lunch rest stop with more substantial food items. ‘Porta Pots’ are also available at all rest stops. Lunch items are also available at the end of the ride.
What if I get lost?
Call the phone numbers provided on wristband. A SAG vehicle will come to pick you up and get you back on route.
I’m from out of town. Where can I stay?
There are many hotels and B&B options in the Lancaster area. If you book a room at the Lancaster Inn & Suites, you will receive free tour of Kreider Farms, a working dairy farm and our title sponsor for 2018. Are there volunteering opportunities available?
Yes! We need volunteers to make the Covered Bridge ride a success! There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available. All club members are strongly encouraged to volunteer. We also welcome other individuals and groups to join us for a fun day supporting bicycling in Lancaster!
